Here's a closer look at one of the stars of the Drendel Family Collection 'Porsche Parade' which is appearing at the Amelia Island 2012 Concours d'Elegance in Florida on March 9.
Stuttgart collector Matthew Drendel had a particular fondness for classic Porsches, amassing 18 significant cars in total.
The Drendel Family Collection's big star is the 1973 Porsche 917/30 Can-Am Spyder - you can read our full report on it here.
Also appearing is this 1981 Porsche 944 GTP, which will sell with no reserve and a $375,000 - $450,000 presale estimate.

This car is especially rare, being just one of two examples ever built. The 944 GTP was a factory prototype and development car.
Beneath its bonnet is a very rare Type 949 competition 4-Cylinder engine, producing 2,478cc and 410 BHP at 6,200 RPM. Bosch mechanical fuel injection and a single KKK Turbocharger gives this car's motor an extra kick.
Not surprisingly, for a classic car of this rarity and historical importance, it has been meticulously restored using only original components.
This 1981 Porsche 944 GTP has also drawn attention at various exhibitions, including the 1998 Monterey Historics expo.
The lucky new owner of this classic motor will also be able to enter the car into leading vintage races and Porsche events. The car is eligible for both.
