Antiques Roadshow US tour dates are revealed – ‘to match Justin Bieber’

The US Antiques Roadshow show turns 17 with its new series, and may be coming to a town near you

Are you among our US readers and love the States' version of Antiques Roadshow? Then here's some good news: the series could be travelling to a town near you in 2012.

Antiques Roadshow, PBS's most-watched primetime series, has announced its Summer 2012 Tour itinerary. Destinations include Boston, MA; Myrtle Beach, SC; Rapid City, SD; Cincinnati, OH; Corpus Christi, TX; and Seattle, WA.

"Antiques Roadshow turns 17 in 2013," said executive producer Marsha Bemko.

"Even though Justin Bieber beat us to it, we couldn't be more excited or grateful for having reached this milestone. We'll be inviting almost 40,000 fans to celebrate with us this summer as we travel across the country."

We're big fans of both the UK and US Antiques Roadshow series here at Paul Fraser Collectibles - not least because the edition's star antiques expert John Bly and his son James are both on our collectibles expert panel.

Big stories we've reported on in the past include a British woman's big $160,000 surprise in 2010. That was the valuation given to her rare Prussian plate on the show.

Expect plenty more surprises when the US show tours later this year.
