An exciting chance to own a rare autograph from Isaac Newton is already attracting strong interest ahead of its July 18 sale.
The English physicist is widely regarded as the most influential figure in the history of science and his autograph is highly coveted by collectors. Entering the sale with a minimum bid of just $2,500, the document has already soared to $16,838 - with over two weeks still left to bid. Featuring a bold, crisp signature from Newton alongside two others, the document can expect to see stunning results when bidding closes. In 2005, a letter from Newton sold 92% above its high estimate at Christie's, achieving $88,176.

An extremely rare and significant Newton autograph
In this example, Newton signs an invoice as Master of the Mint, after his friend and chancellor of the exchequer, Charles Montagu, recommended him for the role in 1696. It was a position that Newton took very seriously and one he would hold for the last 30 years of his life, making this document of considerable significance.
An autograph from fellow physicist Marie Curie will feature alongside the Newton item, in a letter in which she marvels at the luminous by-product of her radiology research. Marking her discovery of radium, the letter is selling at $3,384.
Paul Fraser Collectibles currently has a magnificent collection of rare autographs on offer, including a spectacular document signed by the famed inventor Thomas Edison.
