Lennon's handwritten lyrics to A Day in The Life made $1.2m at Sotheby's in June 2010, while the former Beatle's "Bed Peace" artwork from his and Yoko Ono's 1969 anti-war "Bed-In" brought £97,250 ($154,000) in November 2011.

According to the PFC40 Autograph Index, Lennon's autograph has increased in value from £695 ($1,080) in 2000 to £6,250 ($9,725) today, at the rate of 22.10% pa.
