Charles Schulz art auctions in US - or you can own his signature today

We show you that you don't need $15,000 to own a Schulz signed artwork - here are some examples

Peanuts, the comic strip which ran for nearly 50 years from October 2, 1950, to February 13, 2000, is today regarded as being one of the most influential comic strips ever committed to paper. No wonder, then, that artist Charles Schulz's memorabilia is so coveted among collectors.

Schulz's importance is reflected in continuing interest in his works. He is regular in Forbes' 10 'top earning dead celebrities' list. Forbes magazine reported in 2010 that, since his death in 2000, Charles Schulz has earned $33m from his Peanuts comic strips.

Two original Peanuts daily comic strips are auctioning in Newton, Connecticut on March 18. One is an original daily comic strip, measuring 8"x 30" and rendered in pen and ink, dating to July 18, 1975 (pictured). Also auctioning is a strip dated to November 20, 1970.

The latter carries an inscription by Schulz himself, which reads: "To JIMMY...Best Wishes Charles M. Schulz". The two strips are estimated at $10,000-15,000 and $8,000-12,000 respectively.

But the good news is you don't need $15,000 to own your own authentic Charles Schulz memorabilia piece.
