Collectibles are being put towards charitable causes once again in Paul Fraser Collectibles' home city of Bristol, UK. The latest charity sale features unique artwork and signed memorabilia from four-time Academy® Award winning animation director Nick Park, of Wallace and Gromit fame.
Recent 'charity collectibles' successes include Bristol's Wow! Gorillas sculptures project, featuring urban art gorilla sculptures throughout the city which raised £17,000 in a sale held by Bristol Zoo.
This latest sale features a signed watercolour donated by Nick Park, creator of Wallace and Gromit. Like the Wow! Gorillas, the pieces will be sold in aid of Bristol Children's Hospital's official Grand Appeal charity. Park is also a patron of the appeal.

The auction offers a great opportunity to animators with a passion for classic animation. The pieces will appear on eBay, with bids opening tomorrow (November 1). Funds will provide a new state-of-the-art echocardiogram scanner to diagnose and manage heart conditions in children.
Wallace and his pet dog Gromit are now firmly established as cultural icons following their debut film adventure, A Grand Day Out, released in 1989. The show followed on from other popular stop animation series including the Adventures of Gumby, by the late animation pioneer Art Clokey.
Big sales have included an original Gumby Christmas scene, complete with armatures of Gumby and his lady friend Goo. The "holiday set" sold for $11,000 at Profiles in History in 2008.
Needless to say, Wallace and Gromit collectibles are sought-after. Examples we've encountered at Paul Fraser Collectibles include this signed drawing of Gromit. We have it for sale priced at £695.
We suspect that the signed watercolour by Nick Park could sell for more than this once bidders start competing for it, which possibly makes ours something of a bargain if you're not able to take part in the Grand Appeal's charity sale.
Meanwhile, other items for sale in the Grand Appeal eBay sale include a sketch by the award-winning artist Richard Williams of characters from the 1988 hit feature film Who Framed Roger Rabbit, on which he worked.
Also for sale is a limited edition cel from the popular classic children's cartoon series Danger Mouse, featuring the adventures of a rodent sleuth. It has been specially created by Brian Cosgrove for the Cosgrove Hall Production Archive and depicts the character Danger Mouse.
